Words of WineThese terms govern your use of Words of Wine ("the app"), operated by Cansin Varol. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Eligibility
The app is about wine and is for adults of legal drinking age in your region. You must meet the minimum age shown by the app's age check, and you must provide accurate information. We may block access if you do not meet the requirement.
2. Educational purpose; drink responsibly
Words of Wine is an educational word game. It does not sell, promote or encourage the consumption of alcohol. Content is for general learning and is not professional advice. If you drink, do so responsibly and follow the laws of your region.
3. Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure. Tell us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. You may delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy).
4. Hints, points and virtual items
Hints, points and similar in-game items have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and may be adjusted or rebalanced as the game changes. Items you earn or buy are licensed for use in the app only.
5. Purchases and ads
Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms. Refunds are handled by Apple. The app shows optional rewarded video ads that can grant hints; watching them is voluntary.
6. Acceptable use
Do not cheat, reverse engineer, disrupt or misuse the app or its services, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or use automated means to play or collect data.
7. Intellectual property
The app, its design, characters and content belong to us or our licensors. WSET is a trademark of its owner and is referenced only to describe the subject of the learning content; Words of Wine is not affiliated with or endorsed by WSET unless stated otherwise. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the app.
8. Changes and availability
We may change, suspend or discontinue features or levels at any time. We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
9. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the extent allowed by law. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law or your mandatory consumer rights.
11. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or the law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the developer is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply.
